Network Test Automation Engineer
Our client, a leading global technology consultancy, is looking for an experienced Network Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise across Network Testing, Robot Framework, Python, and GitLab CI/CD.
You will be responsible for validating networking products and services, building automated test solutions, and integrating testing into CI/CD environments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for networking applications and platforms.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Robot Framework and Python.
- Validate network protocols, configurations, and end-to-end connectivity.
- Integrate automated test suites into GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform functional, regression, system, integration, and performance testing.
- Analyse test results and troubleshoot failures.
- Work closely with Development, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams.
- Support automated testing across release and deployment cycles.
- Produce test reports, defect analysis, and quality metrics.
- Contribute to test framework improvements and automation best practices.

Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience in Network Testing.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- TCP/IP
- UDP
- DNS
- DHCP
- VLAN
- VPN
- Routing & Switching
- Experience with BGP and/or OSPF would be advantageous.
- Strong experience with Robot Framework.
- Programming and scripting experience using Python.
- Experience with Selenium would be beneficial.
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution.
- Good knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
