Role Overview

The successful candidate must have practical experience testing and validating SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, routing and switching, network protocols, connectivity, data centre infrastructure, and network performance. This is not a generic software QA or automation testing role. Candidates must demonstrate hands-on experience with network infrastructure testing and troubleshooting.

  • Create and review test cases, test scripts, test plans, and execution evidence.
  • Perform SIT, Functional, Non-Functional, DR, and OAT testing.
  • Execute network and connectivity testing across SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and Data Centre environments.
  • Validate routers, switches, firewalls, and network infrastructure components.
  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and NAT.
  • Validate routing and switching technologies, including BGP and OSPF.
  • Perform SD-WAN validation, connectivity testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Conduct network performance testing, including throughput, latency, jitter, and packet-loss validation.
  • Use network performance and traffic-generation tools such as iPerf, Spirent, IxNetwork/Ixia, or similar tools.
  • Perform RFC 2544 testing and network performance benchmarking.
  • Test SIP/VoIP and Unified Communications connectivity where required.
  • Support Data Centre, Cloud, and network infrastructure testing.
  • Manage the full defect lifecycle, including defect logging, root cause analysis, retesting, and closure.
  • Work from HLD, LLD, Test Plans, and technical requirements.
  • Maintain requirements traceability, ALM, and test reporting.
  • Prepare and maintain test environments and network test labs.
  • Mentor junior testers and collaborate with network architects, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
