The team you'll be working with:
The Senior Networking Technical Services (TS) Systems Integration Specialist/Technical Lead is an advanced subject matter expert who is involved in highly complex environments for installation, integration, deployment, configuration, and fault management.
This role is able to compile technical specifications in a clear, concise, unambiguous manner to explain the advantages and disadvantages of options leading to the final solution and are able to create alternative solutions as backup planning.
This role works towards expert level certification, whilst at the same time developing business knowledge.
What you'll be doing:
- Lead the design and hands-on implementation of complex, multi-vendor network and security solutions across greenfield and brownfield environments.
- Produce High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation to a professional standard, suitable for internal review and client/stakeholder sign-off.
- Develop detailed implementation plans and change records, ensuring alignment with change management processes and minimal operational risk.
- Author comprehensive operational runbooks to support handover to operations and ongoing support teams.
- Perform design validation, proof-of-concept (PoC) testing, and pre/post-implementation verification.
- Configure, deploy, and optimize network and security infrastructure across a range of vendor platforms and technology domains.
- Diagnose and resolve complex, multi-layer network and security incidents, providing expert-level technical escalation support.
- Conduct technical assessments and capacity planning reviews, identifying risks and recommending improvements.
- Escalates unresolved problems and issues to the relevant third parties.
- Delegates lower complexity tasks to engineers and technicians.
- Assumes responsibility for the coordination of the activities of the engineers, in line with performance targets, leading by example and monitoring the quality of engineer's and technician's work when required.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for stakeholders across projects, providing clear and timely communication on design decisions, project status, and risk.
- Acts as coach and mentor to more junior Implementation Engineers and Technicians.
- Present technical designs and implementation strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Collaborate with project managers, solution architects, client network, security teams, and operations to ensure seamless delivery.
- Manage technical scope, expectations, and dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assumes responsibility for the coordination of the activities of the Engineers, in line with performance targets.
- Engages vendors for priority escalations or bugs found during deployments.

What experience you'll bring:
- Advanced understanding and appreciation of technical design and business principles.
- Advanced project fundamental and administration ability.
- Advanced project fundamentals which are demonstrated in the execution of installations and other assignments.
- Advanced customer engagement skills.
- Advanced relevant domain specialist knowledge.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Client focused and displays a proactive approach to solving problems.
- Advanced ability to coach, mentor, and provide guidance to team members.
- Ability to take ownership as technical lead during project lifecycle.
Academic Qualification and certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Computing or related field.
- Professional level certification in different Networking technologies such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCIE, JNCIE, ACMP etc.
- Cisco Dev Net certification is desirable.
Required experience:
- Advanced work experience in technical implementation engineering, specific to Networking technologies.
- Advanced experience engaging with clients and conducting presentations.
- Advanced report writing experience.
- Advanced good project management experience.
- Advanced experience in Networking technologies such as routing, switching, Wireless, SDI distribution, core and access layers.
- Advanced experience in diagnosis and troubleshooting.
