Occupational Therapist – Neurology

Location: Aberdeen
Contract: Permanent | Full-Time

Our client is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their established Neurology team in Aberdeen on a permanent, full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work with patients presenting with a wide range of neurological conditions, delivering specialist rehabilitation to maximise independence, improve functional outcomes, and support patients throughout their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions for patients with acute and long-term neurological conditions.
  • Complete comprehensive functional and cognitive assessments, developing person-centred rehabilitation programmes.
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate treatment plans and facilitate safe, effective discharge planning.
  • Provide education and support to patients, families, and carers to promote independence and long-term self-management.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to service development through evidence-based practice.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Previous experience working within a neurology or neurological rehabilitation setting.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and multidisciplinary teamworking skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing a varied and complex caseload.
  • A passion for delivering patient-centred rehabilitation and achieving positive outcomes.
