Company Description

SMARTPHYSIO operates in partnership with Sammy Margo Physiotherapy, a medical practice based in Hampstead and Highgate, London. The clinics are located at 444 Finchley Road, Hampstead (NW2 2HY) and 244 Archway Road, Highgate (N6 5AX), providing accessible physiotherapy services to local communities. The practice is dedicated to delivering high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy care across clinic settings and in clients’ homes. SMARTPHYSIO focuses on personalized treatment plans that promote functional recovery, independence, and long-term wellbeing, particularly for neuro rehabilitation and elderly care. Team members work in a supportive environment that values professional growth and patient-centered care.

Role Description

The Neuro Rehabilitation and Elderly Care Chartered Physiotherapist is a full-time, on-site role based in London, working across the Hampstead and Highgate clinics and, when required, in clients’ homes. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patients with neurological and age-related conditions
  • Developing individualized treatment plans
  • Delivering hands-on physiotherapy interventions to improve mobility, balance, strength, and functional independence

The role involves contributing to service development, maintaining high standards of clinical governance, and ensuring care is delivered in line with professional and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Chartered Physiotherapist with a recognized degree in Physiotherapy and current registration with the HCPC (or eligibility to register)
  • Demonstrated experience in neuro rehabilitation, including assessment and treatment of conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, MS, and other neurological disorders
  • Experience in elderly care, including falls prevention, mobility enhancement, and functional rehabilitation in clinic and home settings
  • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and treatment-planning skills, with the ability to tailor interventions to individual needs and goals
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Good organizational and time-management abilities, including managing a caseload, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and meeting service standards
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice, continuing professional development, and adherence to ethical and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working across multiple sites and in patients’ homes
  • Previous NHS, community, or private practice experience in neuro or geriatric physiotherapy is highly beneficial
