About the Role
We are looking for experienced and passionate Neurodevelopmental Assessors to join our exciting and expanding clinical team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a growing service where quality, patient experience and clinically robust assessment are at the heart of what we do.
We are looking for clinicians with experience completing ADHD and autism assessments, including ADOS-2, who are confident working with both children and adults.
The role will involve a combination of remote and face-to-face assessments. We are currently looking for clinicians who can provide face-to-face clinics within Bristol, South Yorkshire or West Yorkshire.
You do not need to cover all three geographical areas. We are happy to hear from clinicians who can provide face-to-face assessments within one of these locations.

Key Responsibilities
- Complete high-quality ADHD assessments for children and adults.
- Complete ADOS-2 assessments for children and adults.
- Undertake both face-to-face and remote neurodevelopmental assessments.
- Review developmental history, clinical information, informant questionnaires, school information and other relevant collateral evidence.
- Use recognised diagnostic tools alongside clinical judgement to support robust diagnostic decision-making.
- Consider differential diagnoses and co-occurring neurodevelopmental and mental health presentations.
- Work collaboratively and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Contribute to MDT discussions and shared clinical decision-making, particularly where presentations are complex or further consideration is required.
- Produce clear, comprehensive and clinically robust assessment documentation and reports.
- Identify and appropriately escalate clinical risk or safeguarding concerns.
- Communicate sensitively and professionally with patients, parents, carers and families.
- Work in accordance with NICE guidance, professional standards and organisational policies.
- Participate in clinical supervision, CPD, audit, peer review and quality assurance processes.

Essential Criteria
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience within neurodevelopmental assessment or a closely related clinical service.
- Formal ADOS-2 training with experience using the ADOS-2 within clinical practice.
- Experience undertaking ADHD assessments.
- Experience working with children and adults.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of ADHD and autism.
- Ability to gather, review and critically evaluate developmental and collateral information.
- Good understanding of differential diagnosis and co-occurring presentations.
- Excellent clinical documentation and report-writing skills.
- Good understanding of safeguarding and clinical risk.
- Ability to work autonomously while also working collaboratively and effectively as part of an MDT.
- Appropriate professional registration relevant to your clinical background.
- Ability to provide face-to-face assessments in Bristol, South Yorkshire or West Yorkshire.
- Ability to undertake remote assessments using secure online systems.
- Commitment to ongoing supervision, professional development and CPD.

Desirable Criteria
- Experience using structured ADHD diagnostic tools such as DIVA-5 or Young DIVA.
- Experience using additional ADHD and autism screening or assessment measures.
- Experience contributing to complex diagnostic MDT discussions.
- Additional training in autism assessment or developmental history taking.
- Experience working within a hybrid or remote neurodevelopmental service.
