Neurodivergent Coach
Organisation: Lycali Therapies & Assessment
Location: Local appointments in Kent and online
Contract: Self-employed associate
Rate: £50 per hour
About Lycali
Lycali is a multidisciplinary service supporting children, young people and adults through neurodevelopmental assessment, therapy and practical support. We are looking for a Neurodivergent Coach who shares our person-centred, neurodiversity-affirming approach.
The Role
You will work with neurodivergent young people aged 14 and over and adults to identify their strengths, understand the challenges they face and develop practical strategies for daily life, education or work. Coaching will be tailored to each person’s goals and delivered locally or online.
You may also support individuals with workplace needs and, where appropriate and agreed with the individual, work with employers to identify barriers and explore practical changes that help people succeed at work.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individual coaching sessions using a collaborative, strengths-based approach.
- Help people set meaningful goals and develop strategies for areas such as planning, organisation, communication, self-advocacy and managing demands.
- Adapt sessions to each person’s communication, sensory and access needs.
- Support individuals to recognise and communicate what helps them at work, in education and in everyday life.
- Where commissioned, help employers understand workplace barriers and consider practical adjustments.
- Keep clear, timely records and work within Lycali’s safeguarding, confidentiality and clinical governance procedures.
- Recognise when a person needs support outside the scope of coaching and raise this with the appropriate Lycali colleague.

About You
Essential
- A completed, formal qualification in coaching, supported by training specifically focused on coaching neurodivergent individuals. Training from a programme accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF), EMCC Global or the Association for Coaching, or an equivalent recognised programme, is acceptable.
- Experience supporting neurodivergent young people or adults.
- An excellent understanding of autism, ADHD and neurodiversity-affirming practice.
- Strong listening, communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to tailor support to an individual’s goals and circumstances.
- Confidence working independently while collaborating with a wider team.
- Willingness to complete Lycali’s safer recruitment and onboarding requirements.
- Experience supporting individuals and employers to identify and overcome barriers at work.
- Experience with workplace needs, reasonable adjustments or employment support.
