About the Role
As our Customer Care Assistant, you’ll help deliver a responsive and supportive aftercare service to customers living in our new-build developments. You’ll be a key point of contact during the post-completion period, helping to manage queries, defects, warranty matters and complaints through to resolution.
You’ll work closely with customers, contractors, developers and colleagues across Codi, coordinating remedial work and keeping everyone informed along the way. You’ll also help monitor recurring issues, identify opportunities for improvement and support a consistent customer experience from the initial sale through to aftercare.
The role is agile and will be based predominantly in Swansea. However, occasional travel to Cardiff and Newport will be required to meet business needs.
Skills and Experience needed
We’re looking for someone with strong technical knowledge and experience of the construction, maintenance and repair of houses and apartments, alongside experience in a customer-facing role within the housing sector. You’ll understand construction methods, common defects and the processes involved in managing repairs and resolving issues effectively.
You’ll be a confident communicator who can work positively with customers, suppliers, contractors and colleagues, including when handling challenging or complex situations. You’ll be organised, proactive and comfortable balancing competing priorities, analysing information and finding practical solutions.
Good IT skills are essential, including experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. Experience of CRM systems, defects management, new-build standards or complaints handling would be helpful but is not essential. You’ll also need a full driving licence and access to your own car for work purposes

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
