Benefits: Performance-related commission structure with significant earning potential

About the Company

An established commercial insurance broker that combines a strong regional presence with the backing and resources of a rapidly growing international insurance group.

The Nottingham business has built an excellent reputation for client retention and long-standing relationships and is now entering its next stage of growth. With considerable investment across the wider group, increasing regional autonomy and new opportunities continually being created, this is an environment that suits ambitious insurance professionals who want to make an impact rather than simply inherit a job description.

The Nottingham office already has a well-established client base and strong retention. The next priority is developing a more proactive approach to growth, and you will play a central role in making that happen.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Rather than spending the majority of your time servicing an inherited portfolio, you will be given the freedom and support to identify opportunities, build relationships and convert new commercial clients. Account handling support is in place to allow you to remain focused on development.

The business is equally open to an established Account Executive with a demonstrable new business track record or an ambitious commercial insurance professional ready to step into a more externally focused position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new commercial business: Build and develop your own pipeline, giving you ownership over your earning potential and market presence.
  • Develop mid-market relationships: Target predominantly larger SME and mid-market clients, with typical premiums between £10,000 and £50,000.
  • Build a local network: Develop relationships with prospects, introducers, and professional connections across Nottingham and the wider Midlands market.
  • Convert opportunities: Take ownership of prospects from initial conversation through to placement, supported by an experienced broking and account handling team.
  • Work alongside the wider executive team: Share opportunities and market knowledge within an established team while retaining autonomy over your own development strategy.
  • Help shape the office's growth strategy: Join a business moving from a traditionally referral-led model towards a more proactive new business culture.
