Company Description

Thrive For Hire is a fast-growing UK plant and tool hire business supporting customers across the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

We provide a wide range of hire solutions including plant, powered access, tool hire, lifting equipment, welfare, power, lighting, heating, and site equipment.

Our focus is simple: dependable service, competitive solutions, and long-term customer relationships. We are also continuing to develop smarter and more sustainable hire solutions to help customers improve efficiency and reduce environmental impact.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced New Business Account Manager to join Thrive For Hire and help grow our customer base across Wales, Bristol, Swindon, Bath, and Gloucestershire.

This is a full-time hybrid role combining home working, customer visits, site meetings, and time in the office when required.

The main focus of the role is winning new business. You will be responsible for identifying and approaching new customers, developing opportunities, arranging meetings, preparing quotations, negotiating commercial terms, and converting prospects into long-term trading accounts.

You will also develop and grow the accounts you bring into the business, building strong relationships with contractors, subcontractors, developers, and other construction and industrial customers.

This role suits someone who is proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable managing their own territory without needing constant supervision.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
