New Business Lead / Account Manager - Marketplace

We're working with one of the UK's fastest-growing retailers to find a New Business Lead to drive seller acquisition for their expanding Marketplace.

This is a pivotal role for someone who is switched on and able to support the full sales cycle - from spotting the right sellers to getting them live and trading. You'll also pick up line management, so there's real scope for progression.

The Role

  • You'll identify and recruit new sellers across priority categories, building a pipeline that supports the Marketplace's growth strategy.
  • Sourcing and pitching to prospective sellers, managing everything from lead generation through to contract closure.
  • Running seller vetting and compliance checks, working closely with the Marketplace Manager on target categories.
  • Supporting sellers through onboarding and their first 4-6 months, before handing over to the long term Account Management team.
  • Representing the business at trade shows and webinars to build the seller pipeline.
  • Tracking KPIs and producing reports on acquisition, seller performance and revenue growth.
  • Managing enquiries via Zendesk and collaborating with marketing on seller acquisition campaigns.
  • Leading and developing a small team, embedding strong processes for onboarding as the Marketplace evolves.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
