Business Development Executive

We are recruiting a Business Development Executive for an established business based in North Yorkshire, within commuting distance of Thirsk, Bedale, Richmond, and Darlington. This full-time position offers a basic salary of £43,000, uncapped commission, and a car allowance, working Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm. Following successful completion of the probationary period, hybrid working will be available, with three days in the office and two days working from home.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced business development professional who enjoys opening new doors, building trusted relationships, and converting opportunities into sustainable revenue.

You will take ownership of the complete new-business sales journey, from identifying prospective customers and creating opportunities through to understanding their requirements, presenting tailored solutions, negotiating terms, and securing new accounts.

Supported by an experienced internal team, you will have the autonomy to manage your own sales activity, develop a strong pipeline, and contribute directly to the continued growth of the business.

The position will involve a combination of office-based working, home working, and external customer meetings. You will therefore need to be comfortable managing your own diary, travelling to meet prospective customers, and maintaining momentum across a varied sales pipeline.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
