New Business Development Manager (Part Time)
Role Overview
As we grow our business development function, we are seeking an experienced, results-driven sales professional to join Nu Xform as a New Business Development Manager. This is a part-time role built for flexibility, ideal for someone with a proven sales background who wants hours that work around school runs and other commitments, and who is looking to grow with a business at an early, fast-moving stage.
You'll take ownership of direct outreach, relationship building, and pipeline growth across Higher Education & Healthcare Estates and Corporate Workplace sectors, working closely with our senior consultants. There is plenty of growth potential for the right individual, with a clear path to Account Manager or Senior Business Development Manager, and the opportunity to build and lead a team as your book of business grows.
At Nu Xform, we are an agile, fast-growing Independent SMaRT and Building Intelligence Advisory firm. We specialize in delivering complete technical and strategic consultancy services that create strategically governed, measurable, adaptive, real-time intelligent building operations.
What We are Looking For
You'll bring proven experience in a sales or business development role, ideally B2B, along with the confidence and track record to build relationships from a standing start. An interest in the higher education, healthcare, or corporate sectors is a genuine plus, as is curiosity about how organizations manage their buildings and estates.
But most importantly, you should possess the ability to:
- Drive market development, identifying and pursuing emerging opportunities across higher education, healthcare, and corporate sectors.
- Build and own relationships with prospective clients, from first contact through to qualified opportunities ready for senior consultants to close.
- Lead sales and business development activity, from research and direct outreach to CRM discipline and meeting coordination.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
