BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER / SALES EXECUTIVE - Glasgow City Centre

2 roles - SaaS disruptor built on years of experience and success - this is the next one!

Business Development Manager (360 closing own deal - software, consultative)

New Business Sales Executive (SaaS) - Lead gen for the SD, with progression!

~ Glasgow | Office based | £30,000 – £45,000 (DOE) +strong uncapped commission

Sell a genuinely modern SaaS solution, for a leadership team that has already built and sold one.

The client is a subscription-based body-worn camera and cloud evidence platform. (disruptor in growing sector) Cameras on the ground, intelligent asset management in the cloud, paid for monthly rather than as a huge upfront hit to the customer's cashflow. It is a proper solution sale in a market moving from $10 billion today to a projected $30 billion by 2030.

The business is funded — a $20 million Series A from Boston growth equity firm Volition Capital — with more than 700 customer teams already using the platform across the US, UK, Europe and the Middle East.

We are now opening a brand new office in Glasgow, and this is one of the founding sales hires.

Who you would be learning from:

The guy that's built 10 Sales teams for the CRO, who has in turn built six companies from the ground up. The one you may know is Fleetmatics — a SaaS business he helped found and where he led global sales, taken to a New York Stock Exchange listing and then acquired by Verizon for $2.4 billion. He has personally trained over 5,000 salespeople.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You will work day to day alongside our Glasgow Sales Director, in the same room, on the same numbers.

What you will actually do (2 roles - one more junior and one a senior closer)

  • Own the full sales cycle — prospect, qualify, demo, propose, close
  • Build your own target lists using Apollo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, rather than waiting on marketing
  • Run consultative discovery with operations, security, risk and HSE leaders on how they handle incidents today
  • Sell into private security, retail, transport and logistics, healthcare, education and hospitality
  • Manage a clean pipeline and a forecast you can stand behind
  • Set the standard the rest of the Glasgow team will be measured against.

What you need

  • A track record of B2B new business you can put real numbers against — target versus achieved, and commission actually earned
  • Experience owning a deal end to end, not just booking meetings for somebody else
  • Comfortable making outbound approaches to people who were not expecting you
  • Organised on a CRM without being chased
  • Able to work from our Glasgow office five days a week while the team is being built.

What will make you stand out

  • SaaS or subscription selling, so you understand recurring revenue
  • Hands-on with Apollo, Sales Navigator or a similar prospecting stack
  • Sold into security, retail operations, logistics, healthcare or facilities
  • You ask for the business rather than hoping for it.

The package

  • £35,000 – £50,000 basic, depending on level and evidenced earnings
  • Uncapped commission on new subscription business
  • Structured training from people who train salespeople for a living
  • A route into leading the Glasgow desk as it grows.

Be straight with yourself

A new office is exciting and it is exposed. There is no local brand opening doors for you yet and no warm inbound pipeline waiting on day one. In exchange you get uncapped earnings, a founder-grade operator within earshot and a genuine shot at running something. That suits some people brilliantly and others not at all — better to know now.

How to apply

Send your CV. (Speak to Demi at Duval)

Have your numbers ready: target versus achieved for your last two roles, and what you actually earned in commission. That is the whole preparation.

They are recruiting exclusively through Duval Associates.
