NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (WFM) — Targeting tech in the UK and the US

Duval Associates | (Remote/WFH) | £32-35k Base (negotiable) + Bonuses per opportunity generated, terms signed, revenue generated. Uncapped Bonus + 1.5% Revenue Share
About the Role
You're on the phone before most people have had their coffee. You know who you are targeting and why.
UK & US (Hours possible flexible but ideally 9-6pm with an earlier finish on a Friday)
23 days holiday plus all BH and extra time off pre Xmas.
Duval Associates is a recruitment firm, Est. 2010, with UK and US clients, a growing team, and a serious appetite for new business. We're not looking for a "sales professional." We're looking for someone hungry — switched on based BDM, quick-thinking, and comfortable picking up the phone to a decision maker (This isn’t and making them want to talk to us.
No recruitment experience needed. Sales experience is and appetite, polished switched on communication and OTE driven!
We'll teach you the recruitment bit. What you need is the phone skills and Duval mentality!

The Role
This is pure outbound. Great variety, strategic, consultative!
(Phone, email, VOIP, LinkedIN) - UK & US.
Create opportunities in the US (Average deal £16,000-£30,000) : UK Averages £6,000 - £12,000
You're not managing candidates; you're not running a desk — you're opening doors.
- Min 100 unique target companies a week. Named decision-makers, named companies, named locations. No spray and pray.
- 9am-1pm: UK. Phone, email, LinkedIn — hitting UK organisations with a proper, researched approach.
- 2pm-6pm: US. Same intensity, different accent — targeting US decision-makers. (we have VOIP, the mobile numbers and emails of everyone you need to speak to!)
Ready-made data, mobile numbers, and all the tools supplied. Your job is conversations, not admin.
Every meeting you book goes straight into the diary of our two senior closers — Iain (Founder & Recruitment Director, UK) and Emma (Senior Talent Partner, US) — via Teams, Zoom or Google Meet.
You work the CRM, manage your pipeline, and know exactly where every opportunity sits.
The Numbers
- Base: £30-35k, negotiable depending on your experience and track record
- Bonus per appointment booked and completed
- Bonus per deal signed off the back of your meetings
- 1.5% of all revenue generated through the team and Talent Partners from your pipeline
- Year 1 target: help generate £600,000 in new business opportunities, with £250-350k secured
- Fully remote — laptop and data supplied.

Who We Want
- Minimum 3-5 years of proper business development experience, on the phone, hitting targets
- No recruitment background required — just commercial instinct
- Confident calling the UK in the morning and the US in the afternoon
- Comfortable with rejection, relentless with follow-up
- Organised enough to run a CRM and a pipeline without being chased
- Hungry. Genuinely hungry — for the bonus, the target, the win.
