New Business: Media Business Director (Freelance)
Liberty Hive is looking on behalf of our client, a well-established, full-service media agency known for its integrated approach across planning, buying, and strategy for some of the biggest brands in the market, for a Media Business Director to join their New Business team on a freelance basis.
This isn't a role tied to one specific pitch. You'll be embedded in the day-to-day running of new business, helping to keep momentum across live opportunities, credentials, RFIs, and the general rhythm of a busy new business function.
The role
- Providing hands-on, day-to-day new business support across multiple live opportunities at once, rather than working a single pitch in isolation
- Helping shape and pull together credentials, capability decks, and RFI responses
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to keep new business activity moving at pace
- Supporting the wider team with research, competitor tracking, and market insight as opportunities arise
- Jumping in wherever needed to keep the new business engine running smoothly

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
