Head of Growth
DNA Recruit is working with a successful Digital Agency, looking to appoint a Head of Growth to take ownership of its outbound new business strategy and help drive the next stage of commercial growth.
The agency has already established a strong new business foundation, with proven processes, sales tooling, commercial governance, proposition support, case studies and an active target account list. The opportunity is to take that foundation, sharpen the approach and focus it on larger opportunities, more senior decision-makers and higher-value new business.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Commercial & Sales Director. The role will own the full sales cycle, from identifying and prioritising target accounts, through outbound engagement, discovery and qualification, to proposals, pitches and commercial close.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of the existing target account list, refining it around strong fit signals, senior decision-makers and higher-value opportunities.
- Develop and execute structured outbound campaigns across LinkedIn, email, events and personal networks.
- Identify, engage and build relationships with senior stakeholders across prospective clients.
- Lead discovery and qualification conversations, understanding client challenges, business needs, urgency and decision-making processes.
- Develop and lead compelling proposals and pitches, bringing together strategy, creative and channel specialists where required.
- Own commercial and pricing conversations within the agency's established commercial framework and margin requirements.
- Maintain a strong, accurate sales pipeline and provide reliable forecasting.
- Identify potential revenue gaps early and take proactive action to address them.
- Feed market intelligence, prospect insight and client feedback into the agency's proposition and marketing activity.
- Ensure a structured and effective handover to Client Services once a new client has been secured

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- The ability to sell digital services credibly, with an understanding of areas such as websites, UX/UI, SEO, digital PR, social, content, paid media, CRM, data and analytics and AI-led solutions.
