About Platform 195 and Amplify
Platform 195 is a travel-focused technology, media, and marketing business working with leading travel brands internationally.
Amplify is our marketing agency. We are a full-funnel, travel-specialist agency: brand and marketing strategy, creative, content production, influencer, social, media planning and buying, programmatic and performance marketing. Whatever the client's challenge is, whether it is awareness, engagement, or conversion, we solve it with creative marketing. We deliver it in a flexible, modular way, which is an advantage, but it does not change what we are.
We produce more than 5,000 pieces of travel content and deliver more than 1,500 travel-shopper campaigns a year, across multiple international markets.
Alongside Amplify, Platform 195 runs Uplift, our advertising technology platform, used by more than 40 travel brands to manage and grow their co-marketing and media businesses. That client base matters to this role, because it gives you a set of warm, senior relationships to sell Amplify into from day one.
Who are you
You are working in a marketing agency, selling across the board rather than a single discipline.
You punch above your weight against the big networks. You win deals of all sizes, from the mid and long tail through to the big brands or formal RFP, and you win those either by getting into the room before the RFP exists or by knowing who is tendering what and when.
You are already experienced. You know the marketing funnel and you can hold your own with a CMO without a specialist sitting next to you. You are on your way up, and you are looking for a bigger challenge.
You may or may not have travel on your CV. It helps, but it is not what gets you this job.
The role
You will own Amplify's new business growth. Two pipelines:
-
Net new. Travel brands in the UK and internationally: airlines, tour operators, OTAs, hotel and hospitality groups. Self-generated, owned from first contact to signature.
-
Amplify into the Uplift base. Our client-facing leads will hand you named senior contacts inside existing Uplift accounts, at CMO and marketing director level. You take those conversations, find the marketing opportunity, and own it commercially.
You will work closely with our Creative and Content specialists and the media and performance team, as well as the wider leadership team. In the early phase, they will join your pitches. As you build, the expectation is that you carry more of the discovery and intro calls yourself and bring specialists in behind you for the detail.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
To be direct about the gap you are filling: our senior team can sell Amplify, but they cannot be at every event, chase every lead, and keep every conversation alive. That is the job.
What you will actually do
- Build and own a qualified pipeline against a defined new-business revenue target
- Prospect proactively: outbound sequences across email and LinkedIn, referrals, partnerships, inbound, and marketing-generated leads
- Work industry press and trade journalist relationships for tender intelligence and early sight of client challenges
- Sniff out opportunities inside existing accounts, not just new logos
- Run discovery properly: ask the right questions, diagnose the marketing challenge, then propose
- Build proposals and pitches with our strategy, creative, content, and media specialists
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations through to close
- Keep HubSpot accurate and current: activity, next steps, pipeline value, forecast
- Feed market insight back into the business on client demand, competitor activity, and where marketing investment is moving
We expect you to use AI tools well across research, personalisation, meeting prep, call analysis, and follow-up. As a multiplier on judgement, not a replacement for it.
Events
Travel and marketing events are a major source of opportunity, and we invest in them. You will decide which ones are worth attending, then work them properly.
That means identifying targets and booking meetings in advance, arriving with clear commercial objectives, being visible and persistent on the floor, and following up fast and consistently afterwards. Attendance is not the job. Converting the investment into pipeline is.
Familiarity with UK travel industry events and the international events relevant to UK travel brands is an advantage.
What we need you to know
You need to show a genuine working understanding of:
- The full marketing funnel and the wider marketing ecosystem
- The role of brand and awareness, above-the-line activity, and the media and creative behind it
- Mid-funnel engagement, and lower-funnel conversion and performance marketing
- The difference between paid social and paid search, and how the performance landscape works. You do not need to run PPC campaigns, but you need to know enough to spot the opportunity and talk credibly about it
- How travel customers research, book, and convert, and where marketing influences that journey

If a CMO tells you they have everything covered, you need to hear what they are not saying and find the gap.
This is not a media sales or ad sales role. If your background is selling advertising for a travel publisher, this will not be the right fit.
Experience
Typically 5+ years in a marketing, creative, content, digital, or media agency, or working closely alongside one, with clear evidence of personally generating and closing new business.
What we are looking for:
- A track record of winning net-new revenue, with the numbers to back it
- Experience selling multidisciplinary marketing solutions rather than one product
- Consultative selling to senior and C-level marketing stakeholders
- Strong pitching, presentation, and commercial storytelling
- Sound negotiation and commercial judgement
- Pipeline discipline, forecasting, and CRM rigour
- Relentless proactive outbound prospecting
- Willingness to travel regularly
An established travel network is welcome and we will make use of it. It is a bonus, not a requirement. A good new business person builds one inside a year.
Personal qualities
Platform 195 is ambitious and entrepreneurial. We work hard, support each other, and do not take ourselves too seriously. We want someone credible in front of clients who is also grounded, good company, and easy to work with.
- Hands-on. You do the work yourself. There is no one below you to delegate the chasing to.
- Multifaceted. You find leads in more than one place. Events and cold email alone are not a strategy.
- Simple. You can explain what we do in one sentence and make it land. If you over-complicate it, you lose the room.
- Curious. You understand the client's business before recommending anything.
- Resilient. You are comfortable with persistence, rejection, and long cycles.
- Organised. Follow-ups, commitments, and CRM records do not slip.
- Collaborative. You mobilise the right internal people at the right moment.
- Authentic. This is a relationship-led industry and trust compounds.
- A genuine interest in travel is highly desirable.
