About Equals
Equals is the next-generation global money movement platform built for exceptional businesses operating across borders. We bring international payments, embedded finance, and more together into a single connection that simplifies operations and strengthens financial control. With deep expertise and integrated infrastructure, Equals turns financial complexity into reliable solutions.
With our headquarters in London and teams around the UK and Europe, you will join a very close-knit, talented and supportive team from various backgrounds who believe that bringing different perspectives together helps us understand our customers' needs. United, by one thing, making money management straightforward and cost-effective for our customers.
About the role
This is a phones-first new business role, and it is simple to describe: find businesses that are moving money badly, and win them.
The role sells for a regulated business, which matters when the prospect on the other end of the line is trading through an unregulated white-label broker. Behind every call sits a platform with currency corridors most brokers cannot price well, a zero initial margin facility on forwards, and multi-currency accounts linked to cards and spend management tools.
The role works defined target verticals chosen from Equals' own data, where we already know we win, with the leads, the shared calling script and the coaching provided. There is a real route forward: strong performers step up to Sales Team Lead, and because the team is growing those seats exist rather than being something you wait years for. Commission is uncapped and starts from the first deal.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Responsibilities
- Make high-volume outbound calls into defined target verticals, to a daily activity KPI.
- Qualify prospects properly, establishing a genuine FX or payments requirement before progressing them.
- Build and manage your own pipeline in the CRM, keeping records accurate and current.
- Convert qualified prospects into onboarded, transacting customers, working with dealing and onboarding to get them live.
- Make proactive contact with newly opened card accounts to open the conversation on FX and payments.
- Hand over won accounts cleanly to the dealing desk for ongoing management.
- Contribute to the shared calling script, feeding back what is working in your vertical.
- Feed back what prospects tell you to the wider business, where it is useful to product, pricing or marketing.
- Attend the weekly pipeline and activity review, and know your number against target.
Accountabilities
- Your number against target, reviewed at the weekly pipeline and activity meeting.
- Daily activity against the calling KPI.

Your Profile
Skills & Experience
- 12-24 months in a phone-based sales role in FX or payments.
- A track record of opening your own conversations and closing your own deals, whatever their size.
- A working understanding of FX and international payments, so you will not be starting from scratch on the product.
- Able to qualify well: quickly recognising the difference between a genuine requirement and a polite conversation, and moving on from the latter.
- Clear and credible in conversation and in writing, including with people more senior than you.
- Comfortable working to targets and daily activity KPIs.
- Organised in a CRM.

Attitude & Behaviours
- A hunter. This is an outbound role, and the business you win is the business you go and find.
- Ambitious to sell somewhere with a stronger product behind you, rather than somewhere you have outgrown.
- Resilient enough to keep going after a run of knock-backs and still be sharp on the last call of the day.
- Coachable, and willing to work to a shared script and take direction on what to change.
- Genuinely curious about how businesses work and how they move their money.

We offer hybrid working across our teams, balancing time in the office, for collaboration, events and the relationships that make work rewarding, with the flexibility to work remotely where roles allow.
