New Business Executive | Salary: Up to £40,000 DOE | Bedford, UK | Full-time
Are you confident starting conversations with business decision-makers? Do you enjoy working towards clear targets and turning cold prospects into valuable sales opportunities?
Carlton Packaging LLP is looking for a target-driven New Business Executive to secure new business appointments for our sales team.
The role
Your main responsibility will be targeting businesses and booking 10 new business appointments each week for our sales team to attend.
Using telephone calls, emails and LinkedIn, you’ll identify suitable prospects, build relationships and create genuine sales opportunities. This is a high-volume outbound role, so you’ll need to be comfortable making at least 50 calls per day and speaking with new people.
Key responsibilities
- Book 10 qualified new business appointments per week
- Make at least 50 outbound B2B calls each day
- Research businesses and relevant decision-makers
- Generate at least 10 new leads per week
- Carry out fact-finding calls with potential customers
- Follow up with prospects by email and LinkedIn
- Build positive relationships with prospective customers
- Keep Salesforce accurate and up to date
- Manage call lists, workflows, reporting and data cleansing
- Gather feedback from sales representatives following appointments
- Reschedule meetings and support diary management
- Produce weekly telemarketing and performance reports
- Send sample packs and promotional items to potential customers
- Upload and manage lead data collected at trade shows

The person
To be considered, you must have:
- A target-driven approach
- Previous B2B cold-calling experience
- Experience making high volumes of outbound calls
- Experience using Salesforce
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
You’ll also need to be organised, resilient and comfortable managing your own workload. You should enjoy working as part of a team while remaining accountable for your individual targets and results.
