New Business Manager
Location: Flexible across the UK
Salary Range: £29,615 - £30,945 per annum
Contract Type: Permanent
35 hours per week
Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle (requirement of role)
Are you a results-driven sales professional ready to make an impact? We’re seeking a dynamic New Business Manager to drive revenue growth and secure high-potential accounts. You’ll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to onboarding, building long-term client relationships and hitting ambitious targets.
This exciting role will focus on our vital mission: to increase funding access for the British Red Cross and the wider Movement. Does this sound like you?
What will a New Business Manager's job involve?
- Business Development: Identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities. Creating accounts with strong long-term revenue potential and ongoing spend. Converting qualified appointments and self-generated leads into new customer accounts.
- Managing Pipelines: Maintaining an accurate pipeline of qualified opportunities, including tenders. Using digital tools such as CRM and Power BI to monitor activity, forecast revenue, track customer spend, and identify growth opportunities to achieve targets.
- Business Delivery: Delivering a targeted number of customer meetings, presentations, and proposals that effectively communicate the value of Red Cross Training's products and services.
- Business Intelligence: Monitoring new business performance, analysing conversion rates, identifying market opportunities, and supporting the delivery of sales targets. Providing monthly reports on various metrics to support business planning and decision-making.
- Collaboration: Working across internal teams and stakeholders to develop effective solutions that meet customer requirements and support successful new business acquisition.

What will a New Business Manager need to be successful?
- Thorough knowledge of the full sales cycle. From prospecting and lead qualification through to proposal development, negotiation, closing, and onboarding of new customers.
- Strong commercial awareness. The ability to identify, qualify, and capitalise on new business opportunities across a range of sectors and markets.
- Highly developed written and oral communication, negotiation, persuasion, interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with donors and liaise with senior management as required.
- High level of financial literacy. Ability to assess, comprehend and manage complex written and financial information quickly and accurately.
- Demonstrable experience of good network-building skills and of working with diverse teams and functions.
