This full-time New Business Manager role is based in Birmingham and offered on a hybrid basis, combining on-site work in the Midlands with some work from home and in the field. The New Business Manager will identify and qualify targeted new opportunities, build, maintain, and forecast a robust sales pipeline, and develop relationships with prospective clients in target markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading new business pitches, commercial offers, and negotiating terms to secure profitable contracts aligned with Hadley Group’s strategic objectives. The New Business Manager will also monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to refine business development strategies and drive sustainable growth.
Qualifications
- Strong New Business Development and Account Management skills to generate, manage, and grow client relationships.
- Business Management and Business Planning skills to shape commercial strategies, set targets, and support forecasting and budgeting.
- Solid Analytical Skills to interpret market data, assess opportunities, and make evidence-based commercial decisions.
- Experience in B2B sales within construction, engineering, manufacturing, or related sectors is highly beneficial.
- Proven ability to negotiate contracts, present complex technical solutions clearly, and influence stakeholders at multiple levels.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and hybrid teams.
- Self-motivated approach, with excellent time management and organization skills, and comfort using CRM systems and standard business software.
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in business, engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
