Opportunity to Join the CAMM/CAMM ER Team

A great Opportunity to join the CAMM/CAMM ER team, a fast expanding area within the CAMM Missiles and Systems (CM&S) Sector with recent contract award success including Poland, Brazil, US Navy & Sweden to complement extant domestic contracts awarded by the UK and IT MoDs.

Salary

Circa £40,000 - £64,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working

2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance

British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The Opportunity

CAMM Family (including CAMM & CAMM ER) is an ever-expanding area within the CAMM Missiles and Systems (CM&S) sector with further growth expected during 2026 and beyond within both the domestic & export markets. In alignment with growing customer demands, the quantity, complexity and speed of required bid responses within CAMM Family are becoming increasingly challenging.

In addition to supporting demanding bids for external customers, this role will necessitate support to the upcoming Business Case (due to kick off in 2026) and transfer programmes required to support our strategic partners.

This role offers excellent visibility across the UK CAMM Missiles & Systems (CM&S) Sector, as well as the Italian Air Defence Sector, including stakeholders such as Head of Programme Bids, Finance Committee and Tender Vet Panels within both NatCo's.

This role within the CAMM Family B&PM new Business Team will involve the following:

  • Working with a range of stakeholders in a fast paced environment, to ensure bids are submitted to customers in a competitive timeframe and at a competitive price.
  • Managing and co-ordinating bids across CAMM and CAMM-ER within UK and Italian NatCo's
  • Leading multi-functional teams such as UK Operations, Project Procurement, Export Control Management and Customer Support Solutions to support the generation of bids including; cost bases, programme schedules and Assumptions, Exclusions and Dependencies
  • Ownership of bids throughout the complete bid lifecycle from Bid Kick Off to Commercial Committee
  • Supporting contract mobilisation for contracts awarded.
  • Working closely with a wide set of stakeholders both internal and external to the sector, including SVP CM&S, VP CAMM Family, CAMM Family Head of New Business, Chief Engineer, B&PM Exec, SBD, ComOps and BCE
  • Ensuring UK Domestic bids are auditable and completed in accordance with Qualifying Defence Contract Guidelines
  • Supporting audits as required for UK Domestic campaigns.
  • Responsibility for working collaboratively across Land Ceptor, Sea Ceptor & CAMM/ER new business teams to ensure commonality and consistency of bid proposals and technical responses, necessitating need for proactive engagement
  • Regular reporting of bid status updates at various forums to a range of stakeholders.
