We are looking for an ambitious, driven and results-focused New Business Sales Executive to join our growing transport and logistics business based in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced B2B sales professional, ideally with a background in transport, courier, logistics or freight, to take responsibility for winning new business and growing existing customer accounts.
You will be selling a comprehensive range of overnight parcel, pallet and same-day delivery services.
The Role
As a New Business Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating new business, developing customer relationships and achieving ambitious monthly sales targets. Your responsibilities will include:
- Identifying and targeting new business opportunities
- Generating leads through outbound calls, networking and business development
- Building and maintaining strong B2B customer relationships
- Promoting our overnight parcel, pallet and same-day delivery services
- Understanding customer requirements and providing tailored transport solutions
- Preparing quotations and following up opportunities
- Managing and developing your own customer portfolio
- Upselling additional services to existing customers
- Negotiating rates and closing new business
- Working towards and achieving monthly sales targets
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and sales activity
- Working closely with the operations team to ensure customers receive an excellent service

About You
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, competitive and motivated by results. Ideally, you will have experience in:
- B2B sales
- Transport, courier, logistics or freight
- Parcel, pallet or same-day delivery services
- Business development and account management
- Telephone-based sales and lead generation
- Negotiating rates and closing deals
Transport industry experience is preferred but not essential for the right candidate. We're also interested in proven B2B sales professionals who have the drive and ability to succeed in a fast-paced transport environment.
You'll need to be:
- Confident and professional
- A strong communicator and relationship builder
- Target-driven and motivated by earning potential
- Comfortable making outbound sales calls
- Persistent and commercially focused
- Organised and able to manage your own pipeline
- A confident negotiator
- Positive, proactive and hungry for success
