Cashflows is a fintech payments company focused on helping small corporates and SMEs easily accept card and digital payments online, in store, and on the move. Role Description

The New Business Sales Executive is a new role focused on outbound (80% of role) and inbound lead generation (20%). This role will be dedicated to the strategic focus of a single vertical and supporting the wider business to drive a strategic approach to what's needed to continue to win in this vertical.

This role is different and will be working closely with the existing relationship management team to drive relationships from day 1.

This is a hybrid position with a minimum expectation of 1 day a week in the office (Farringdon, London), customer visits, and working from home.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Building and managing a qualified sales pipeline
  • Conducting outbound outreach
  • Delivering tailored product presentations and demos
  • Negotiating commercial terms to secure new contracts

The role involves collaborating with marketing, product, and operations to refine propositions, ensure accurate onboarding, and maintain a smooth handover to account management. The New Business Sales Executive will also monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to help shape sales strategies and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in B2B new business sales, ideally within fintech, payments, or financial services, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong skills in prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with confidence in engaging stakeholders at multiple levels.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical payment solutions in clear, business-focused language, and to tailor proposals to customer needs.
  • Collaborative working style, with experience partnering cross-functionally with marketing, product, and operations teams.
  • Good analytical and commercial skills, including assessing opportunities, interpreting data, and preparing accurate forecasts.
  • Self-motivated and organized, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing priorities in a hybrid working model.
  • Experience selling to SMEs and small corporates across Europe is an advantage; knowledge of acquiring, gateways, or card payments is highly beneficial.
  • Relevant education or training in business, sales, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
