New Business Sales Executive

Location: Coventry (office based, Monday – Friday, 8.30am to 5pm)

The Role

We have a number of exciting Sales opportunities within our New Business team. These roles are responsible for managing incoming sales leads, generating and pricing tenders, securing contracts, and ensuring confirmations are completed by the end of each day.

You will engage daily with brokers via phone and email to develop existing accounts or manage on-going client relationships. These roles are target driven and strive achieve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive growth of the SME new business portfolio to meet or exceed targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers via phone and email
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process: pricing, contracting, and transferring of agreements
  • Ensure all contracts are accurately processed and SODA documentation is completed
  • Adhere to risk and compliance procedures at all times
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to maximise revenue and operational efficiency
  • Continuously seek process improvements and innovative customer solutions
  • Maintain full compliance with SME sales procedures
  • Support wider team needs and business initiatives as required

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven sales experience (essential)
  • Experience in the gas/power industry (desirable but not essential)
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
  • Team player with a proactive, results-driven attitude
  • Excellent telephone manner and relationship-building abilities
  • Target-focused and self-motivated
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Flexible, easy-going and ambitious personality
