Position: Yacht Broker

David Walters Yachts (DWY) is looking to add an enterprising and driven Yacht Broker in the New England area. The ideal candidate for the position will embody our core values of knowledge, experience, and integrity. Our team members possess a deep understanding and in-depth knowledge of the boats we represent, as well as a strong ability to network, excellent personal skills, and the capacity to develop long-lasting relationships with their clients and industry partners.

Responsibilities

  • Represent DWY in the listing, marketing, and sale of high-quality brokerage yachts.
  • Represent new boat brands at major boat shows, events, and private presentations.
  • Foster relationships with new and existing customers, becoming their trusted advisor beyond the transaction.
  • Guide clients through every step of the purchase and sale process with professionalism and expertise.
  • Creatively market yachts using photography, video, digital content, and embody the lifestyle to inspire clients.
  • Keep CRM (HubSpot) up to date to manage leads and opportunities.
  • Actively network, prospect, and generate new opportunities.
  • Contribute to company marketing efforts, including articles, video features, and social media campaigns.
  • Travel as needed for yacht showings, sea trials, surveys, and client events.

Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of yacht brokerage experience OR extensive marine industry experience (yacht sales, captaining, yard management, marine equipment sales) with proven ability to generate business.
  • Strong knowledge of various types of yachts.
  • Self-motivated with entrepreneurial drive to develop and expand opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple listings, clients, and transactions simultaneously.
  • Comfortable using digital marketing tools, CRM, and creating client-facing content (video, articles, photos).
  • Licensed yacht broker (or ability to obtain a license).
  • Ability to work remotely and independently, fully supported by and with occasional visits to DWY's main offices in Fort Lauderdale and Annapolis.

Compensation

This is a commission-based position with a highly competitive structure. Brokers at DWY regularly achieve six-figure incomes, with top performers well above that range. Compensation includes reimbursement for approved travel and business expenses, as well as full access to DWY’s marketing and administrative support system.
