What does our Nuclear Design group do?
ENERCON's Nuclear Design Group is a leader in the nuclear power industry, providing comprehensive engineering, licensing, and environmental services to support nuclear power plants worldwide. We offer a full range of services, including designing plant modifications, safety analysis, licensing renewals, and advanced reactor support, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective solutions. Our extensive experience includes Engineer of Choice contracts at over 90% of U.S. nuclear plants and numerous evolving projects. We maintain rigorous quality assurance standards and are recognized for our responsive service and innovation in addressing the challenges of new and existing nuclear facilities.

What are skills that would be helpful to your success as a new graduate?
- Graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in one of our listed preferred majors.
- Available to start on an agreed upon date between January 2026 and July 2027.
- Preferred Courses: Circuit Analysis (could be called Circuits I, Circuits II, Intro to Circuits, etc.), Power Systems (could be called Electric Power, Electric Machines, Power Systems, Power Engineering, etc.), and Control Systems.
- A solid working foundation with your major’s core concepts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
- Ability to effectively problem solve.
- Must be able to climb stairs and ladders at client sites.
- Must be able to effectively navigate client sites to conduct walkdowns.
- Must be able to work outside.
- Ability and willingness to travel for client and company projects and/or meetings.
Interview and Employment Requirements:
- Completion of pre interview assessments.
- College transcript submitted for anyone under 1 year of experience post-graduation.
- Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client-specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
