- 2 positions Fixed Term Full-Time (12 months)
- Salary Classification: Physiotherapist Level 1 Year 2.
- Remuneration: $41.48 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options [https://www.prosperity.com.au/] + RDO's
THE ROLE:
Calvary Mater Newcastle (CMN) are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic New Graduate Physiotherapists to join our dynamic team. This fixed term position offers an exciting opportunity to kick start your career in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The Physiotherapist is responsible for providing prompt and effective evidence-based patient care, working as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team. The position covers inpatient and outpatient client care as allocated by the Physiotherapist-in-charge with an emphasis on general medicine and cancer care. This position is perfect for a New Graduate wanting to gain the exposure and experience in a hospital clinical setting.
DUTIES:
- Able to assess, plan, organise, evaluate and deliver quality, patient centred Physiotherapy care in accordance with AHPRA and the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
- Competent in conducting a thorough, systematic assessment that addresses client's issues and concerns, including referral to other services where required.
- Demonstrate good clinical judgement in using assessment findings and evidence-based knowledge to formulate an individualised treatment plan across all core areas of physiotherapy.
- Provide information and consult with the client about the treatment plan.
- Deliver effective treatment and provide the client with self-management skills.
- Reassess client and progress treatment when appropriate.

ABOUT YOU:
- Recognised degree in Physiotherapy and authorised to practice as a Physiotherapist by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) by February 2027, and available to work weekends.
- Demonstrated competence and good clinical judgement in providing individualised treatment for a broad range of clients.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of both the multidisciplinary team and the physiotherapy team.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective and efficient delivery of support to a diverse population.
- Demonstrated ability to seek assistance and realise professional limitations.
- Demonstrated commitment to own personal responsibilities, professional development and evidence-based practise.
