Rosevean Veterinary Practice, Penzance, Cornwall

Are you a newly qualified Veterinary Surgeon looking to begin your career in a supportive, friendly, and progressive practice by the sea? Rosevean Veterinary Practice is excited to welcome a motivated and compassionate New Graduate to join our Small Animal team.

Rosevean Veterinary Practice is a well-established, community-focused clinic located in the heart of West Cornwall. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-focused care while maintaining a warm and collaborative working environment. Our experienced team is dedicated to mentoring and supporting new graduates as they transition into practice. Located on the stunning Cornish coast, Penzance offers an exceptional quality of life. This position will be focused exclusively on small animal work. This is a full-time, permanent position ideal for a new graduate eager to develop their clinical skills and confidence. You will work alongside experienced vets and nurses, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of small animal practice, including consultations, surgery, diagnostics, and inpatient care. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
