New Homes Sales Consultant – Pedder Development Services

Pedder is a local, family owned and run, high performing estate agency with 9 branches across the south east of London. The Pedder Group offer services in residential sales, lettings, property management, land and new homes, and financial services.

We are currently looking for an experienced Sales Consultant (experienced in residential sales) to join our Development Services team / New Homes Sales team.

Brief duties of the role:

A full job description is available on request and will also be provided prior to the interview stage.

  • Business Generation: work closely with the Development Director to identify new business opportunities through the database, site searches, and leads from the land team. To maximise on securing valuations for the branch at every opportunity, through canvassing, applicant registration and closing an appointment.
  • Client Management: registration of new applicants, accurate client database management, qualification of potential purchasers, dealing promptly with enquiries and feedback. To maintain positive and professional relationships with all clients at every stage through to completion.
  • Pipeline Management: you will be responsible for your own pipeline, nurturing the deal from the point of contact to the point of exchange/completion. Viewing properties, negotiating offers, liaising with solicitors and mortgage brokers and delivering the highest levels of customer service to buyers and sellers alike.
  • Sales Progression: to maximise the sales income for the branch, by securing as many sales as possible that follow through to completion.
  • Marketing: Ensure that all aspects of the marketing roll-out schedule, including any brochures, the website, site signage, print adverts, online advertisements, window cards (not limited to) are presented professionally and accurately to maximise the interest in the development.
  • Targets: to work individually to exceed your targets as well as supporting your team to become the market leader in your area and meet the overall department target.
  • Compliance: to ensure you work in line with industry standards and legislation.

Hours and Location:

Our Development Services team are based within our branch in Peckham (SE15 2EZ).

Working hours are as follows:

  • Monday 8:45-18:00
  • Tuesday 8:45-18:00
  • Wednesday 8:45-18:00
  • Thursday 8:45-18:00
  • Friday 8:45-17:00
  • Saturday As required for any New Homes Development launches.

Candidate requirements:

  • A full and clean driving licence (essential) - a manual licence is desirable.
  • Have previous experience in residential sales within the London market (essential).
  • Have specific experience in selling New Homes (desirable).
  • NAEA qualified (desirable).
  • Live locally to the specified office, and have a good working knowledge of the area.

Salary details:

This is a commission-based role, however a basic salary is also provided.

  • Basic salary - £22,000-£25,000 DOE
  • Guaranteed commission for the first 3-months of employment (up to £1500 per month DOE)
  • After the guaranteed commission period a suitable commission package will be agreed. This will include:
    • Tiered ‘pay per plot’ commission for each one sold by you.
    • Commission for an instruction where you have sourced the valuation, delivered the instruction and/or made a unique intervention to win the instruction which subsequently goes on to sell by another consultant.
    • Quarterly bonuses for hitting Financial Services referral target.
  • On target earnings (OTE) £40,000+ per annum
