An opportunity for an NPD Assistant to work with a luxury fragrance brand in London.
The role
This is a fast-paced fragrance NPD role where your ideas and organisation shape products from concept through to launch. You will work at the heart of a collaborative team, coordinating with fragrance houses, marketing, packaging and regulatory partners to bring innovative, high-quality fragrance products to life. It is a role built for someone who thrives on detail, loves the beauty industry, and wants to see their work on the shelf.
Key responsibilities:
- Support the end-to-end NPD process, from concept ideation through to product launch
- Produce monthly Innovation and Inspiration reports covering market trends, competitor activity and social media insight
- Manage project timelines, keeping every milestone on track
- Support formulation and testing with the fragrance house and external labs
- Coordinate packaging development, ensuring compliance and brand alignment with the contract manufacturer
- Own the artwork process, from brief to final approval
- Create and maintain master product documents and technical specifications for every SKU
- Keep the physical product archive and packaging library organised and accurate
- Update adverse reaction and quality incident databases
- Place initial purchase orders and manage raw material procurement through to delivery

- 5+ years’ experience in a similar NPD role within a fragrance company
- Experience with a recognised beauty group such as L’Oréal, Estée Lauder, Unilever or Coty is a strong advantage
- A degree in marketing or business development (a Masters is a bonus)
- A sharp analytical mind with confidence handling numbers and detail
- A passion for beauty and strong product knowledge
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence at every level
- Strong project management skills and an eye for detail
- Confident across Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Speed and accuracy when managing data and documentation
- A collaborative approach and a talent for building strong relationships, internally and externally
