THE ROLE

REFY are seeking a motivated and proactive intern to join our New Product Development team. As a NPD intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product and market research, testing, design and conceptualisation within a fast growing, forward thinking environment. You will help develop world first products that cut through the market to simplify your routine and deliver high performance results and quality.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Researching beauty, accessory, packaging, sustainability and consumer trends to inspire future innovation.
  • Conducting market research and competitor shops to identify trends and opportunities for REFY.
  • Creating inspiring mood boards that feed into product concepts and storytelling.
  • Presenting findings to the PD team with clear recommendations on what this means for REFY.
  • Supporting the Design & Artwork Exec with packaging artwork updates and brand guideline maintenance.
  • Supporting the team in booking and running community testing sessions and focus groups.
  • Testing products with our community, capturing feedback, images and insights to present back.
  • Assisting with PD admin including updating product decks, boards and development trackers.
  • Tracking, organising and sending new product samples to support smooth workflow across projects.
  • Maintaining an organised, stocked and hygienic PD room and testing area, and archiving development samples.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proficiency in Google Suite/Microsoft Office
  • An interest in the cosmetic industry with a willingness to learn about product development
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cosmetic Science, Marketing, Product Design, Chemistry or a related field
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset, with strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Confident using the Adobe Suite, but mainly Illustrator.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
