About the Company

We're working with an innovative and successful food & beverage development company that partners with exciting and emerging brands to create award-winning products. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, friendly and entrepreneurial team where you'll have real influence, plenty of variety and the opportunity to grow with the business. The role is based in the beautiful surroundings of the Wye Valley where my client has both their office and a scale up centre.

About the Role

As NPD Manager / Senior Development Technologist, you'll:

  • Lead and develop a team of 3 Technologists.
  • Manage NPD projects from concept through to launch.
  • Work closely with customers and exciting food & beverage brands.
  • Develop recipes, formulations, ingredients and processes.
  • Lead trials, testing and product development.
  • Manage project timelines and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Keep up to date with emerging food, beverage and ingredient trends.
  • Identify and implement improvements across the business.

Qualifications

You'll ideally have:

  • A degree or equivalent in Food Technology, Food Science or a related subject.

Required Skills

  • Experience in food or beverage NPD / product development.
  • Previous experience as an NPD Manager, Senior Technologist.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication abilities.
  • A proactive, commercially minded and solutions-focused approach.
  • A genuine passion for food, drink and innovation.
  • The confidence to lead, influence and build strong relationships.
