New Product Development Manager
Location: Barking, London
Salary: £30,000–£40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Working arrangement: Site-based four days per week, with flexibility to meet the needs of the role
Davin Foods, part of Reynolds, is looking for a proactive and organised New Product Development Manager to lead product development projects across our prepared fruit and vegetable manufacturing sites.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with food manufacturing or FMCG experience who can manage multiple projects, work collaboratively across teams and successfully take new products from initial concept through to production.
The Role
You will:
- Lead customer NPD projects across the sites.
- Manage the full product development lifecycle, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to agreed specifications.
- Develop scalable manufacturing processes that meet food safety, quality and operational requirements.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to complete and approve manufacturing specifications ahead of launch.
- Support the smooth transition of new products into production.
- Oversee product costings, yields and throughput assumptions to ensure commercial viability.
- Lead NPD meetings, manage priorities and identify potential risks.
- Champion continuous improvement across NPD and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain high standards of compliance, governance and reporting.

About You
You will ideally have:
- A degree or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- A food safety qualification, including HACCP.
- Experience within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment, ideally in NPD, technical or production support.
- A good understanding of food manufacturing processes and operational procedures.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The confidence to engage with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Competent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with the flexibility to travel between both sites.
