Newborn Hearing Screener
To work as part of the Newborn Hearing Screening team, screening all babies as early as possible either in hospital or as an outpatient. To liaise with the Newborn Hearing Screening Local Manager, parents and other professionals in order to provide a seamless service. To collate and accurately record test data both manually and electronically.
About the Role
The Newborn Hearing Screening Department (NHSP) aims to screen the hearing of all babies within the first few weeks of life. No formal qualifications are required but applicants must have a good general standard of education with a minimum GCSE Maths and English or equivalent. Good interpersonal skills and manual dexterity are also essential. The role involves working with a multi-disciplinary team who are responsible for the care and management of the newborn population across Buckinghamshire. All necessary training will be given.

The service is based at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, but applicants will be required to travel to outside clinics as needed. The service runs 365 days a year so applicants must be willing to work Weekends and Bank Holidays on a rotational basis.
