Newly Qualified Solicitor | Corporate | Leeds

A Top 100 UK law firm with a strong presence across the North is looking for a newly qualified solicitor to join its Corporate team in Leeds city centre.

You would be working on live M&A and investment work from the outset, sitting alongside partners rather than a layer removed from them. The client base runs from ambitious owner-managed businesses through to national and international groups, so the deals are varied and allows you to gain important broad experience at this stage in your career.

The work:

  • Company and business sales and purchases
  • Debt and equity fundraisings and investments
  • Taking instructions directly and drafting the documents that follow
  • Sitting in on negotiations and client meetings from early on
  • Pulling in tax, property, employment and other specialists as deals require
  • Client training and network building, so you start growing a following of your own

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
