Our client is a global law firm with 7 offices across the UK, and further offices in over 40 countries across the globe. They are highly ranked across their key practice areas in the Legal500, including Finance, Corporate, and Real Estate.

About The Team

With c.15 lawyers across their UK offices, this team has a collaborative and blended approach. They advise a range of clients across the full remit of Planning law including the Town and Country Planning Act, Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, and residential development. Clients include house builders, local authorities, utilities providers, and public and private sector bodies.

About The Opportunity

This client is currently seeking an NQ Planning Lawyer to join their team in either Birmingham or Leeds. You will be working closely with more senior members of the team to;

  • Draft planning agreements, infrastructure agreements and planning applications
  • Carry out due diligence for judicial reviews
  • Advise on planning and infrastructure consenting for developments including large mixed-use redevelopment schemes, transport, and renewable energy

About You

You will;

  • be a newly qualified solicitor in England and Wales
  • have gained experience in Planning law during your training contract
  • be able to work to tight deadlines and work efficiently
  • have strong academics and an excellent writing style
  • have fantastic communication and written skills
  • be confident when dealing with clients
