Newly Qualified Property Solicitor
Location: Harrogate
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm
Are you a Newly Qualified Property Solicitor looking to build your career?
We're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded, and proactive NQ Property Solicitor to join a busy and growing Property Department.
Working closely with the Department Head, you'll handle a varied and interesting caseload, taking responsibility for your own matters while developing your technical expertise and building strong, long-term client relationships.
You'll work across sales and purchases, commercial leases, landlord and tenant matters, property finance, and property management, covering a broad range of sectors including office, industrial, retail, and agricultural property.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an NQ who has a genuine interest in Property and wants to join a supportive, forward-thinking team with excellent opportunities for development and progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of a varied and interesting commercial property caseload from instruction through to completion
- Work directly with landlords, tenants, investors, businesses, and private clients
- Handle a broad range of freehold and leasehold transactions
- Advise on leases, licences, assignments, underleases, and renewals
- Support lenders and borrowers on property finance transactions
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial property documentation
- Prepare clear, commercially focused reports on title and legal advice
- Manage Land Registry, SDLT, and post-completion requirements
- Build trusted relationships with clients and professional advisers
- Take ownership of key dates, deadlines, and transaction milestones
- Identify and manage legal and commercial risks proactively
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Property, Corporate, Litigation, and Private Client
- Play an active role in client development, networking, and cross-referral opportunities
- Contribute to the continued growth and success of the Property team

Essential Requirements:
- Newly Qualified Solicitor with a genuine passion for Property
- Relevant commercial property experience gained during your training contract
- Strong understanding of property transactions and conveyancing
- Excellent drafting, legal research, and document review skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly organised with strong time management skills
- Confident managing deadlines and taking ownership of matters
- Strong client communication and relationship-building skills
- Commercially aware, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Professional, approachable, and client-focused
- Comfortable working independently and seeking guidance when needed
- Collaborative team player with a strong work ethic
- Confident using IT and case management systems
