Volunteer Anchor & Video News Reporter
If you are passionate about journalism, storytelling, and delivering impactful news on camera, we invite you to join us as a Volunteer Anchor & Video News Reporter.
Responsibilities
- On-Camera Presentation: Deliver news stories with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.
- Live & Recorded Reporting: Anchor live news segments and record pre-scripted news bulletins.
- Interviewing & Field Reporting: Conduct interviews with newsmakers, experts, and witnesses, both in-studio and on-location.
- Content Development: Research, script, and present engaging news content for video segments.
- Fact-Checking & Accuracy: Ensure all reports adhere to journalistic ethics and factual accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with editors, video producers, and fellow reporters to create compelling news packages.
- Multimedia & Digital Presence: Utilize social media and video platforms to amplify news reach and engagement.
- Trend Analysis: Stay updated with current affairs, emerging trends, and audience preferences.

Qualifications & Skills
- Strong on-camera presence with excellent verbal communication skills.
- Passion for journalism and storytelling.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of journalistic ethics, media law, and fact-checking.
- Prior experience in news anchoring, reporting, or video journalism (preferred but not required).
- Familiarity with digital journalism, video editing, and social media reporting.
- Ability to conduct interviews and report from the field.
