News Monitoring Coordinator - GLOBAL ICONIC TECH, MEDIA AND MARKETPLACE BRAND

Location: London

Salary: £200.52 per day PAYE

Contract: Until January 2027 at present

Working pattern: Shift-based, with some weekend support required, 40 hours per week


We are looking for a highly organised News Monitoring Coordinator to support its Global Communications team.


Key Responsibilities

Media Monitoring

  • Monitor news coverage across major media outlets and identify stories relevant to Amazon
  • Flag important articles, emerging narratives and potential reputational issues to PR teams
  • Track media trends and support reporting on coverage patterns
  • Provide monitoring coverage during business hours
  • Support weekend monitoring shifts when required

Media Enquiry Management

  • Monitor incoming press and journalist enquiries
  • Route enquiries quickly and accurately to the appropriate PR contacts
  • Maintain agreed response times for media requests
  • Log enquiries for tracking and reporting purposes
  • Ensure accurate routing across a wide range of business and media topics

Operational Support

  • Respond to internal team requests and information needs
  • Assist with media coverage reports, documentation and handover notes
  • Maintain communication tools, resources and internal information
  • Support team processes and ensure continuity across shifts

Required Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Good judgement when assessing the relevance and urgency of news stories
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate information clearly, concisely and accurately
  • A proactive and dependable approach

Previous experience within media monitoring, journalism, public relations, press office support, corporate communications or reputation management would be advantageous.
