An ability or willingness to logically break down at times complex workflows, dive into error logs and system documentation to figure out or escalate a problem that you may not have seen before.

This is a shift-based role within a 24/7 operation, involving some night work. You will need to be comfortable with the flexible and dynamic nature of a 24-hour news environment, including occasional opportunities to work off-site to support outside broadcasts.

What You Will Bring

• Bring a proactive, hands-on approach to configuring, supporting, maintaining and routing broadcast equipment and streaming devices, helping ensure daily news coverage, projects, and special events are delivered reliably.
• You will be able to work effectively as part of a team while also taking ownership of tasks independently when needed.
• During training, you will provide technical support to news and sports news teams, including those working in challenging environments, using clear and appropriate communication.
• Diagnose and resolve issues by working logically through problems, identifying root causes, and understanding why something has not worked as expected.
• A good level of computer literacy (Microsoft, MacOS) and a basic understanding of networking and internet streaming protocols.
• Prior educational or work experience in broadcast technology, sound production environment or related industry would be advantageous but not a requirement.
• Although a technical role, a demonstrable interest in news and current affairs is expected.
