About Impact Loop VC
Impact Loop VC is Europe's go-to news channel covering climate tech venture capital and impact investing. Founded in 2024 and part of the Loop Media group, we deliver scoops, deal coverage, and interviews on how money moves through Europe's impact ecosystem – read by investors, founders and operators across Europe.
About the Role
Now, we're looking for an ambitious reporter to join our growing newsroom. You'll cover climate tech, sustainability, and the world of European venture capital and private equity. Our readers are principally investors and founders who already know the basics. We focus on original reporting: finding our own scoops, conducting in-depth interviews, and always taking stories beyond the press release.
What You'll Do
- Break news that you've found yourself – by talking to people in the ecosystem, monitoring digital sources, and overall being out and about – and write it up quickly and accurately
- Build your own network of contacts among investors and operators across European climate tech and impact investing
- Pick up the phone and ask questions that go beyond what's in a press release
- Report and write in-depth interviews and features with people in the sector
- Find news and stories at industry events
- Help build our presence on social media
- Share responsibility for our daily newsletter, helping decide what goes in it

What We're Looking For
- At least a few years' journalism experience
- Knowledge of, or interest in, the investor ecosystem and/or sustainability and climate change
- Good news judgement and the ability to work quickly without losing accuracy
- Confidence to approach people you don't know, build sources, and ask tough questions
- Comfortable editing and fact-checking your own work, and sometimes that of colleagues
- A self-starter attitude
- Fluent English (other European languages are a bonus)
Desired Skills
Not required, but a plus:
- Understanding of finance and markets
- Comfortable with social media
- Experience moderating panels or doing live interviews at events
- Experience with video or other formats beyond text

AI is both a colleague and a time-saver on routine tasks, so you can spend more time talking to people and finding stories. However, the reporting, judgement, and accuracy stay your responsibility.
