Job Description

The Next Gen Full-Stack Intermediate Engineer contributes to the design, development, and delivery of Syspro’s next-generation software platform, building modern, scalable web applications that span front-end user experiences and back-end services. Reporting to the Head of Innovation, the role operates within a forward-looking engineering team focused on delivering innovation across Syspro’s evolving product suite, ensuring solutions are robust, maintainable, and enterprise-grade. The role remains primarily a full-stack engineering position, with a strong focus on building scalable front-end and back-end software features. AI-related work will mainly involve integrating and productising AI capabilities into the Next Gen platform, rather than owning AI/ML model development or AI strategy.

Job Requirements

Minimum Level of Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field

Beneficial Qualifications

  • Honours degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Relevant cloud or AI/ML certifications (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)

Minimum Experience

  • 3–5 years of professional full-stack software development experience
  • Proficiency in at least one modern front-end framework (e.g. React, Angular, or Vue.js)
  • Back-end development experience using APIs and a server-side language such as C#/.NET Core, TypeScript, or Java
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and version control using Git
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
