We're looking to build our React expertise with a skilled NextJS Developer who can contribute to meaningful web development projects.

About The Opportunity

Roles of this type may sit within collaborative, fast-paced development teams working on contemporary web applications. The work could involve partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to design, build and maintain responsive user interfaces using React and NextJS, with scope to deliver high-quality solutions across a range of client and internal projects. What You Would Do

Typical responsibilities could include:

  • Building and maintaining responsive user interfaces using React and NextJS
  • Writing clean, maintainable JavaScript code following best practices and coding standards
  • Collaborating with designers, backend developers and product teams to deliver cohesive solutions
  • Implementing features from design mockups and technical specifications
  • Optimising application performance and user experience
  • Participating in code reviews and contributing to continuous improvement of development practices
  • Working within Agile teams to deliver incremental value

What You Could Bring

Most roles of this type require the following:

Must-have

  • 5–10 years' experience in web development with a strong focus on React and JavaScript
  • Demonstrable experience building applications with NextJS or equivalent modern React frameworks
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and core web technologies (HTML, CSS)
  • Experience working in Agile environments and delivering iterative solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS or other utility-first CSS frameworks
  • Experience with API integration and microservices architecture
  • Certification such as Meta Front-End Developer Certificate, freeCodeCamp Front End Libraries (React), or JavaScript Certification (JSE/JSA)
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment practices
  • Agile or Scrum certification
