At PwC

At PwC, our people in audit and assurance focus on providing independent and objective assessments of financial statements, internal controls, and other assurable information enhancing the credibility and reliability of this information with a variety of stakeholders. They evaluate compliance with regulations including assessing governance and risk management processes and related controls. In sustainability assurance, you will focus on obtaining limited or reasonable assurance about whether sustainability reporting, for selected KPIs or as a whole, is free from material misstatement, whether due to fraud (that can take the form of "greenwashing") or error, and to issue an auditor’s opinion, in order to help organisations and their stakeholders build trust in their sustainability strategy and performance while complying with relevant regulations. Your work will include assessing the existence of gaps between disclosure and sustainability reporting frameworks, assessing materiality analysis and reporting process, testing data quality and controls.

About The Role

PwC’s Banking and Capital Markets (B&CM) practice is a market-leading audit and assurance business, with a national team of over 800 people supporting clients across the sector.

Within B&CM sits our Non-Financial Assurance (NFA) proposition, which specialises in providing controls assurance, such as SOC reports and other controls reporting under recognised standards. Our NFA practice provides controls assurance over various different subject matters, including Environment, Social & Governance (ESG), Regulations (such as the UK Client Assets (CASS) rules), and other Third-Party Assurance (TPA).

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
