Opportunity at Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Nottinghamshire Health Informatics Service (NHIS) as an NHIS Admin Apprentice, supporting the Corporate and Business Support team at Kings Mill Hospital. The role provides a great introduction to working in a busy NHS digital and technology service, offering hands-on experience in reception, customer service, administration, document management, and supporting senior managers and programme teams. The successful candidate will develop key workplace skills, including communication, organization, confidentiality, Microsoft Office use, and professional customer service.

The main duties of the NHIS Admin Apprentice role are to:

  • Provide a professional, welcoming, and efficient reception service for staff and visitors at the Kings Mill Hospital site.
  • Respond to internal and external enquiries in a helpful and timely manner.
  • Support the NHIS Administration Team by providing confidential administrative support to senior managers and other members of NHIS, including maintaining records, managing information so it is readily available within agreed timescales, and following standard operating procedures.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications, handle emails and telephone enquiries, support customer-facing tasks, and contribute to the smooth running of administration services within a busy NHS digital service environment.
