Facilities Staff Bank Opportunities – Band 2–4
For Current NHS Lothian and NHS Borders Employees
NHS Lothian Staff Bank is seeking applications from current NHS Lothian and NHS Borders employees working within Facilities Services who wish to undertake additional flexible work through the Staff Bank.
This opportunity is open to staff currently employed in a substantive Band 2–4 Facilities role, including Domestic Services, Portering, and other Facilities Services positions.
Who Can Apply?
To Be Eligible To Apply, You Must
- Hold a substantive Band 2–4 Facilities Services post within NHS Lothian or NHS Borders.
- Apply only for a Staff Bank role that is equivalent to your current substantive post.
- Have successfully completed your probationary period.
- Have a minimum of 6 weeks remaining in your substantive post at the point of application.
- Be able to provide your NHS Payroll Number and National Insurance Number as part of the application process.

Where your substantive role requires PVG Scheme Membership, you must already hold the appropriate PVG membership before submitting your application. PVG membership is required for all Domestic Services and Porter roles.

As part of the application process, you will be required to provide:
- NHS Lothian or NHS Borders Payroll Number
- National Insurance Number
- PVG Scheme Membership details (where applicable)
This information will be used to verify your employment status and eligibility within your employing Health Board.
