Job Description for Interpreters at NHS Lothian Staff Bank Supplementary Staffing Service
NHS Lothian Staff Bank Supplementary Staffing Service is seeking interpreters. Recruitment will be based on service needs for any given language.
Pay Rates
- Interpreters (Band 4): £28.06 per hour
- Qualified Interpreters (Band 6): £32.75 per hour

About the Service
The Supplementary Staffing Service offers flexible working with jobs available to book online or by phone. We are looking for individuals who are committed to the jobs booked, can provide exceptional patient care, and consistently demonstrate and deliver the values of the organization.
Work is allocated on an "as and when required basis" with different shift patterns available to suit flexible working. There are no guarantees of a fixed amount of hours each week as this is a demand-led service. Interpreters are paid for a minimum of one hour, and in 15-minute increments thereafter. Travel time is paid between jobs where there is a gap between appointments of 60 minutes or less, but travel to and from the first and last appointment is not paid. Travel expenses are paid as if starting from your base at Comely Bank Centre.
