Job Title
We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer to support an NHS organisation with the development and delivery of high-quality reporting, dashboards and data visualisations.
About the Role
The successful candidate will work closely with digital, BI, clinical and operational teams to turn complex NHS data into clear, actionable insight to support performance, transformation and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and data models.
- Translate business and clinical requirements into effective BI solutions.
- Work with stakeholders across clinical, operational and corporate services.
- Develop complex DAX measures, calculations and data models.
- Extract, transform and integrate data from multiple sources.
- Work with SQL / relational databases to support reporting requirements.
- Ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency across reporting solutions.
- Support the development and optimisation of existing BI environments.
- Create clear and user-friendly visualisations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Work within NHS information governance, data security and reporting standards.
- Support the wider BI team with data analysis, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

Essential Experience
- Strong commercial experience developing Power BI solutions.
- Excellent knowledge of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Strong DAX and data modelling experience.
- Strong SQL / database experience.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.
- Ability to gather requirements directly from business and clinical stakeholders.
- Experience delivering reporting solutions from requirements through to implementation.
- Strong understanding of data quality and information governance.

NHS / Healthcare Experience
NHS experience is highly desirable, particularly experience working with:
- NHS operational and performance data
- Clinical / patient data
- NHS Trust BI or Information teams
- EPR / PAS / clinical systems data
- National NHS datasets and reporting requirements
- NHS data standards and information governance
Experience with Fabric, Azure, SSIS, SQL Server, Qlik, Tableau or other BI technologies would also be advantageous.
